A Suitable Image is an independent non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation that helps low-income women successfully transition into the workforce. We rely on tax-deductible private donations, grants, and corporate contributions. Our mission is to educate unemployed disadvantaged women about the importance of appearance in the job interview process and to provide a work-related wardrobe to help them "start over". For women returning to work, new clothing and a professional appearance can inspire self-confidence and signal a new beginning...

Our clients are referred by human service or government agencies and employment centers. They may be drawn from domestic violence or homeless shelters, substance abuse or work release programs, immigration or literacy programs. Clients may be in a job training or educational programs and preparing for job interviews. They may be searching for a job, or recently employed but still in need of clothing. They may need appropriate attire for a court date. We will provide, at no cost to the client or the referring agency, 'gently used' quality attire suitable for these situations.
